About Deanna

Built for the moments that matter.

For more than two decades, Deanna has led teams, run control rooms, developed original programming, and guided coverage through the fastest-moving moments in television news.

Her career spans CNN, CBS News, BET, NBCUniversal, and local newsrooms. At CBS News, she served as Senior Producer for the Race & Culture Unit and as showrunner and senior broadcast producer of America in Black, the award-winning newsmagazine she co-created for BET.

She has worked with CBS News Standards & Practices and served as supervising producer for Face the Nation. Today, she produces national news programming at CNN.

“I believe journalism is a public service. Every editorial decision shapes how people understand each other and the world.”

The work changes. The standard doesn’t.

Journalism is a public service. Stories have power.
